Also collaborated on OB/GYN and pediatric content. Updated existing health education resources to align with current health literacy standards. Developed individualized preparation books for procedures and admissions, using developmentally appropriate language, photos, and diagrams to help children and families understand what to expect during healthcare encounters. Created diagnosis education resources for children who have diabetes, burn injury, cancer, or blood disorders as well as children whose caregivers are critically ill or injured. Wrote and illustrated an adaptable children’s book, Someone I Love Has Lupus, to provide education, normalization, and coping support for children of ill caregivers.
